BACK TO THE FUTURE: Furlough scheme extended until end of September & Covid cases continue to fall

Chancellor Rishi Sunak has revealed that the furlough scheme will be extended until the end of September in an attempt to safeguard jobs, with employees continuing to receive 80% of their wages.

It comes as the number of new coronavirus cases, hospital admissions and deaths all continue to fall, while the number of people vaccinated is now above 20 million.
