LOCAL UPDATE: Amazon Prime series filmed outside Cardiff City Hall

The steps of the Oval Basin in Cardiff Bay are being fenced off to stop people from gathering while coronavirus restrictions remain in place. Last month, police dispersed crowds who had gathered at the bay during the hottest weekend of the year to date.
A popular vegan junk food chain has revealed plans to open their first Welsh restaurant in Cardiff. Oowee Vegan, which has a site in Bristol, has submitted a planning application to Cardiff Council to open up on Wellfield Road in Roath. The application is a change of use from retail to restaurant meaning the most recent tenant of the unit, Flying Tiger, is set to close.
And parts of Cardiff city centre have been transformed into a London street for an upcoming Amazon Prime show. The area around City Hall and Cardiff Crown Court has been taken over for the second season of Alex Rider. The series is based on the series of spy novels by author Anthony Horowitz which spanned 10 novels.
