NEWS ROUNDUP: Number of deaths at ‘normal’ levels and top tips for dog theft prevention

Neil Warnock's Middlesbrough have got "little to play for" as they prepare to travel to Barnsley on Saturday.

Middlesbrough are 10th in the table, 11 points behind Barnsley before they meet at the weekend.

Nine points separate Boro from the top six with just six games remaining in the Championship season.

Middlesbrough's hopes of finishing in the playoffs are slim, but beating Barnsley might give them a timely boost.

Boro have beaten their upcoming opponents just once at Oakwell in the last seven attempts.

However, they can complete a first league double over the Tykes since the 2011-12 season with a win.

It won't be easy though - Barnsley have lost just one of their last 15 Championship games.

While Middlesbrough have suffered defeat in each of their last three away games.

Last time out, Warnock's side managed to hold Watford to a 1-1 draw at the Riverside.

Warnock laughs off Dael Fry rumours

The Middlesbrough manager has warned Premier League sides that Dael Fry is not for sale while he's in charge.

Fry has attracted interest from clubs like Burnley in recent times. The rumour is that they'll bid around £10m for the defender in the summer.

However, the Boro boss laughed off that figure and stated he would not let Fry leave.

"I don't think Steve Gibson would sell Dael Fry for any sort of offer. Steve is like me, if I'm managing here he wants me to be successful," Warnock said.

"He knows Dael Fry is a very important part of that. Clubs have had their opportunities in the past and have gone for other players.

"I've said to Dael if you think you're going anywhere next year forget it, pal. I'm here, you're here. I'm not anticipating losing him at all."

We'll see how that situation pans out as well as Middlesbrough's trip to Barnsley on Saturday in the Championship.
