The future of Cardiff’s John Lewis remains in doubt as a reopening date for the store has yet to be set. The news comes as the firm warned of further store closures last Thursday as it reported a pre-tax loss of £517million as a result of severe Covid trading restrictions.
Cardiff Metropolitan University has cancelled it’s graduation celebrations for the second year in a row. All graduation ceremonies were postponed last summer during the first Lockdown. Cardiff Met has said that it would hold graduation ceremonies as soon as it’s safe to do so, but that was most likely to be 2022.
And developers have unveiled designs of a proposed 29-storey apartment tower on Guildford Crescent, the former home of a music venue and several restaurants. Guildford Crescent in Cardiff was mostly demolished despite a 20,000-name petition and a protest march by 1,000.
