Tuesday 23rd March marks one year since the nation went into lockdown. Charity, Marie Curie, encourage the UK to come together, reflect on the year and mark the anniversary.

Residents from Caerleon, Newport have done just that!

Locals from Crochet and Knitting group 'Prosecco and Purls' created beautiful yellow toppers for post boxes along with flowers and ribbons to brighten the village on this special day.

They wish to help support the National Day of Reflection and commemorate those who have lost their lives as well a show a sign of support for their families and friends.

The beautiful designs can be seen across the village: on Roman Way, Anthony Drive, outside The Gold croft, the Post Office and the church.

One design is complete with the message: 'The sun will shine on you again'
