NEW LOCATION: mobile testing update

Mobile testing is set to take place at a new location for residents in Bridgend county borough.

Bridgend Council revealed a drive-through test centre will open at the Halo Swimming Pool, Marshfield Avenue, Pyle (CF33 6RP) on Friday
April 02.

Appointments will be available daily from 9am to 5pm and must be booked in advance.

The walk-in centre at the Richard Price Centre in Llangeinor will shut after Thursday April 01.

Data from Public Health Wales revealed Cardiff had thec highest number of new coronavirus cases on Thursday with 38.

Swansea had 20 new cases and Neath Port Talbot had 12, while Bridgend saw five.

The latest data also show 1,443,885 people have received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine and 449,538 have had both doses.

Residents in Bridgend county borough can also access walk-through appointments at a testing centre based in the Bowls Hall car park off Bridgend Life Centre (CF31 4AH). Bookings are essential and available from 8am to 8pm.

Appointments can be made via the Welsh Government website or by calling 119. People with hearing or speech difficulties can book tests by calling 18001119.
