And South Wales Police have issued new images of Wales' most wanted man on the anniversary of the killing of a Cardiff A-level student. Aamir Siddiqi was brutally murdered at his family home in Roath in April 2020 while waiting for his Quran teacher. Police want to question Mohammed Ali Ege, from Riverside, who they believe will give them more answers.
Shoppers in Wales eagerly queued outside high street stores on Monday as non-essential shops once again opened. From 7am, queues formed outside fashion stores TK Maxx and Primark in Cardiff city centre and elsewhere. Commenting on the queues, retail consultants Springboard have said that while thousands hit high streets across Wales, footfall was 16% lower than on the same date in 2019, before the pandemic hit.
A new school for hundreds of pupils has been given the go-ahead in Cardiff. Planners have approved a new primary school at the St Edeyrn's development to serve parts of Pontprennau and Old St Mellons.
