NEWS ROUNDUP: New Covid factory headed to Cardiff
A huge new factory to help produce coronavirus jabs could be set up in Cardiff. The new site would be based at the former Batley’s Cash and Carry in Radyr. The building on Longwood Drive would be involved in "the use of the building as clean rooms for the processing of a range of products that go into vaccine manufacturing". This news comes as Coronavirus case rates continue to fall in Wales.
Three barber shops in Cardiff have been ordered to shut over coronavirus breaches. The Shared Regulatory Service gave improvement notices to the two barbers on City Road and one on Wellfield Road. All three were shut down for failing to provide or require the use of PPE.
And - Cardiff's Wales Millennium Centre has outlined its plans for comedians and bands to perform in a shipping container outside Wales’ most famous theatre this summer. Stand-up comics will start the programme of events in July, closely followed by live music and drag acts.
