NEWS ROUNDUP: New ZipWorld opens in Rhigos Mountain Range
A new ZipWorld set in the Rhigos Mountain Range has officially opened it’s doors. This comes as planning applications to launch the site in Cardiff Bay eventually fell through. Launching two new experiences including Zip World Phoenix which is the world’s fastest seated zip line, the site has been designed to create a lasting legacy to its deep-routed mining heritage. We will catch up with Sean Taylor, Managing Director of ZipWorld, later on in the week.
As part of a new service, patients who would typically be seen in A&E could now be treated in their own homes or at the scene of an emergency. The new physician response unit, created between Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and the Welsh Ambulance Service, aims to cut down on "unnecessary" hospital admissions and free up ambulances for the sickest patients.
And - One of Newport's biggest bands will be returning home this summer for a gig in one of the city's most-loved locations. Feeder has announced the band is coming home to perform in Tredegar Park on July 9th, supported by a whole host of other artists.
