NEWS ROUNDUP: Anthony Hopkins brings home an Oscar to Wales
Crowds flocked to city centres in Wales on Monday as hospitality businesses reopened their doors for the first time this year. Pubs, cafes and restaurants officially re-opened for outdoor dining on Monday April 26 after being closed since Wales entered alert level four lockdown restrictions in December. The news was welcome by hundreds of people, who made the most of the sunshine and sat outside to have a drink.
Four further businesses have been caught breaching coronavirus regulations in Bridgend county borough. The Shared Regulatory Service gave a rock shop, two takeaways and a car valet business improvement notices last week for failing to follow government guidelines. Now, a chip shop and three other business have failed to comply with Covid regulations and action has taken place.
And - Sunday marked a great day for Wales, as Anthony Hopkins won Best Actor at the Academy Awards. The 83 year old took to social media from Wales, to thank the Academy.
