NEWS ROUNDUP: Gyms & Leisure Centres reopen in Wales
Gyms, leisure centres and swimming pools in Wales have once again reopened their doors. Organised children's indoor activities and indoor adult fitness classes can also resume and two households can form an exclusive bubble to meet indoors. The next review of restrictions is due by 13th May- a week after the Senedd elections on 6th May. A decision will be made on indoor hospitality and tourism on May 17th by whoever forms the next Welsh Government.
A new study has suggested that disposable face masks could be releasing chemical pollutants and nano-plastics into the environment. Swansea University scientists have said that there needs to be better regulation and more research carried out. Back in November last year, the researchers were only originally interested in the plastic waste impact on our environment.
And - mothers of brides and grooms in England and Wales will now be added to marriage certificates for the first time. Until now, the document only included the names of the fathers of the couple, but a change to the Marriage Act means that both parents will now be included.
