QUESTIONS TO ANSWER: PM faces backlash on flat refurb in the last PMQs before elections
It’s the final round of Prime Minister’s Questions before voters right across the UK get set to head to the polls - with Senned members, metro mayors, councillors and police and crime commissioners all on the ballot.
As expected, there was only really one topic on the agenda, and I’m sure John Lewis’ PR team were watching with bated breath.
A spokesperson for the watchdog explained, “We have been in contact with the Conservative Party since late March and have conducted an assessment of the information they have provided to us.”
“We are now satisfied that there are reasonable grounds to suspect that an offence or offences may have occurred.”
“We will therefore continue this work as a formal investigation to establish whether this is the case.”
Prime Ministers are given up to £30,000 a year to renovate their residence, but there are reports that figures could be closer to £200,000
But do the public care?
