WHAT’S ON: Penarth returns with outdoor cinema for Christmas

Get your wooly hats on and find that missing mitten because this is an event not to be missed this Christmas.

Penarth welcomes back the Lost Lands cinema for Christmas

This beauty is back by popular demand after a successful first run, with a tone of film classics to get stuck into. Why would you watch it at home when you get to go and watch under the stars?

The outdoor cinema is set to be held at The Deck in Penarth marina, under a super cosy outdoor dome tent. Doesn’t that sound cosy! A great addition to this is the ability to have table service, so your visit will be lovely and cosy but with an added sprinkle of luxury.

This is advertised as a family friendly event, which would be perfect for a Christmas date or a lovely evening out with the kids. If you’re feeling it, why don’t you do both!

Saturday the 11 December 2021, you can catch Nativity and Edward ScissorHands.

The Grinch That Stole Christmas and Gremlins will be up on the big screen on Friday the 17 of December 2021.

All time favourite Home Alone and Love Actually will be screened on Saturday 18 December 2021.

And last, but not least, Polar Express and Die Hard *cough, Die Hard isn’t a Christmas movie* on Thursday 23 of December 2021.

There’s something about being outside but inside away from the cold and watching a nice Christmas film. Whether you’re in the festive spirit or not, its certainly an excuse to get out the house and enjoy the festivities in a nice and relaxing way. This is definitely for the people of Wales who want a little but of Christmas R&R away from all the chaos the big day brings!

Amazingly, tickets are only £7 making it affordable and cheerful to do.
